Absolute worst car rental experience in…

Absolute worst car rental experience in 40 years. Took over an hour to get our car, they had no stock so we downgraded, 45 mins into driving we were overwhelmed with the smell of cigarettes. Called the Matamoras PA location we rented from for over 2 hours, no one picked up. Enterprise 855 number said driver to Newark airport to switch out cars. Drove the 90 mins to Newark to be told, Enterprise customer service lies to you to get you off the phone, We cant switch. So still stuck with a car that reeks of cigarettes and we have to drive for 4 days now! DO NOT RENT FROM ENTEPRISE!

Accused of causing damage

Accused and asked to pay up for damage I did not cause. It was only until I provided photos that they decided to drop the chargers.

There is clearly a lack of processes in place or they were trying their luck, so you should make sure to cover yourself from being accused of the same.

f I could give no stars I would

If I could give no stars I would. Literally the biggest scam of a company! Charged me £1500 excess for a little scratch that I didn’t even do. It went to get repaired at an accident repair place that charged £600 just for the paint alone then the labour on top amounted to funny enough £1500.
I beg anyone looking to rent a car go somewhere else and to take out excess cover as you just never know.

Breach of data and privacy!

We rented a car from them in July. A deposit was refunded at the end of July and we were told ‎that we would receive this back into our accounts a few days later. At the end of August, I then ‎receive an email from Damage Recovery who had sent all the corresponding letters they had sent ‎and requested 700+ pounds for damage to the car. I had emailed back and had put two complaints ‎forward, this email was not acknowledged and therefore, I called Damage Recovery to state that, ‎all letters (around 5) had been sent to the wrong address. I had spoken to a lady who had then put ‎me through to Sam. Sam had explained that Oscar was the handler and was busy and this was the ‎reason for the call going through to him. Sam explained that he would speak to Oscar and have ‎Oscar communicate with us, as he would be best placed. I explained to Sam that we was abroad ‎and would therefore, need communication through email. ‎
To my surprise today, I receive another email with no acknowledgement to my first email and ‎guess what, a completely new letter with the correct address. Seems like they aren’t aware of data ‎and privacy policy!‎

I would love to have an email acknowledging this, but seen as this probably won’t happen. I will be ‎taking this further if I do not hear back within the next 24 hours!‎

False Damage Claim

Rented a small SUV from the Lexington KY airport location, did not take their insurance. Drove for two days and returned before the desk was open, parked in garage and dropped keys as instructed. Three weeks later I received a claim for damages the said I caused: scratches small dings, but the total fix was only $347. The pictures they sent on regular paper were just thumbnails and were impossible to see what the damage they were trying to show. No description was given. Called and spoke to a representative and stated this damage was on the car when I picked it up, and I'd taken pictures before leaving the location. They said they'd investigate and follow-up. A week later they found no reason to dismiss the fraudulent claim against me, and again told them I had proof the damage was there which they requested, but I demanded they send me the same pictures they'd sent, via email so I could see their claim. Another week went b, they never sent me a written notice of exactly what damage they alleged I caused and no pictures. I decided not to let this go too far as of course it was under my insurance deductible and not worth having them damage my credit, so I sent another email detailing how their claim was fraudulent and I sent my pictures for their review. 5 days later they decided to close their claim against me. I found scores of similar complaints on Facebook or minor damages being pinned on drivers, many whom had claims drop when they had pictures or proof. I do not trust Enterprise not to attempt to pin previous minor issues on renters who fail to take their insurance. It's easy to collect when its less than someone's deductible. They know any auto insurer will refute their claims, and the amount is too little to fight unless you have your own proof.

Repair scam-damage I didn’t cause!

Rented a car at Toronto airport. Neither I or the employee noticed any damage and missed a tiny rock chip in the windshield as we were in the underground parking. Drove it for 1.5 hours and turned it in at another location. I was told when I dropped it off that the company would pay the repair since it was so minor. I was later charged by Enterprise, after I returned home, $350 for a complete new windshield (which is not possible as this would be close to $1000). No way to dispute the charge. Told to pay or they would send me to collections. Customer service sucks. I’m have never been treated so rudely. I used to rent 4/5 cars a year from Enterprise but will never rent from them again (or Alamo or National as they are all the same company.) Rent at your own risk.

THE WORST experience Enterprise Bechtle…

THE WORST experience Enterprise Bechtle St in Springfield OH. Customer service was rude, constantly calling and badgering me even though I repeatedly gave them information. Refused to verify with other branch. They refuse to cooperate, resolve the situation and instead put me on a Do not rent list. The car was paid for, returned on time and undamaged. I have been a very satisfied plus member for years until now.

They cancelled my booking because an error in their system and kept the money

I booked an Enterprise car for the 20th of July, when I went to pick it up they said that my payment card home address didn’t match with the one I mentioned, I showed my last bank statement to the clerk to show that this is updated in HSBC but he insisted that in their system they still have my previous home address and with little less alternative they cancelled my booking and left me stranded in Newcastle airport, luckily I could book a car in Hertz with no problem. The issue doesn’t end there, I called them the week after to chase the refund as they said that they were going to process it and they told me that rentcars would manage it. I contacted rentcars every week and still no signs of a refund more than 4 weeks after the cancellation, on their website it stills says that the booking is waiting to be confirmed, rentcars said that enterprise kept the money and didn’t provide them with more information. I won’t use enterprise or rentcars again after this bad experience. After sending them emails weekly and being ignored, I contacted rentcars via chat and they said that because 30 days have passed now, they won’t refund me. These companies are running a scam

WORST COMPANY THAT NO LONGER UPHOLDS HONEST CUSTOMER SERVICE!

What can I say. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN! Enterprise car rental is not what it use to be. They tell you one price on the phone, then in person it’s higher, the pressure you in a way to get the extra insurance when you tell them Progressive will cover the car, then when you decide to cancel the extra coverage THEY WILL NOT HANDLE THE REQUST OVER THE PHONE, they make you drive to the office to cancel it, which is an inconvenience in itself, and they know it. The BBB, of which they ARE NOT AFFILIATED WITH has countless negative reviews just in August 2014 alone. Trying to speak with a manager over a certain location to report their behavior is trying, because they say on the phone, “WE DON’T HAVE ANY MANAGERS!” I’m having to get an attorney and refuse all the over abundant holding charges that shouldn’t be. THE WORST CAR RENTAL EXPERIENCE!!! It is not how it once was and they are like bad car salesman. WARNING!!!!! FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO RENT YOUR CAR! I was promised on the phone $235/Week for an economy car. They had me OVER $800.

Great service!

After a lovely stay in Albania, we returned our rental car with some damage caused by a reckless driver and this was no issue at all. We also slightly scratched the front of our car by driving against some thornes and bushes, but since this was minor damage, we did not need to pay anything. The people of Enterprise were extremely helpful and very friendly.

We've hired a car from Catania

We've hired a car from Catania, and Agata provided an excellent service.
As we arrived, we tried to get a taxi for a short lift to the other Enterprise branches, but the taxi driver wasn't helpful and literally not interested to find the Enterprise branch.
However. Agata (gave us a lift) were really supportive and solved the problem.

Montpellier Airport Enterprise

Montpellier Airport Enterprise were fantastic. Great customer service, friendly staff who spoke English. The cars we reserved were upgraded as they didn't have the ones we ordered available. All cars were spotless and low mileage. Had absolutely no issues with any of them (we hired a 9 seater van, an SUV which was subbed for a BMW 4 series, and a 7 seater). On return they were happy with all the cars. We paid for the extra cover for peace of mind but everything went super smoothly. Huge thanks to the staff at Montpellier airport.
